Twenty-One National Divisions Go for the Jackpot at the 34th Enderle Pull-Off
Worthington, Ohio---Twelve months after the first interruption in its third-of-a-century history, the Kent and Joan Enderle Memorial Pull-Off returns in full force for its 34th edition on Saturday, September 18. The National Tractor Pullers Association's all-star invitational will be held at Urbana, Ohio's Champaign County Fairgrounds beginning at 5 p.m. with over $100,000 at stake. Tickets will go on sale on August 1 at AllStarPull.com and ShopNTPA.com/tickets.
Forty-two Regional National qualifiers will come from all corners of the American Midwest across nine divisions: Heavy Super Stock, Super Farm, Light Pro Stock, and Limited Pro Stock Tractors; Two-Wheel-Drive, Four-Wheel-Drive, and Stainless Diesel Pro Stock Diesel 4x4 3.0 Trucks; and Mini and multi-engine Modifieds. This year, a new wrinkle has been added to RN qualifying, as each division will invite one additional competitor who earns the most overall points across all national appearances from the season opener in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota on May 29-30 to the final pre-Enderle event in Lynn, Indiana on September 11.
Meanwhile, Grand National competitors will number 60, counting five from each of 12 divisions: Light Super Stock, Super Stock Diesel, Super Farm, and Pro Stock Tractors; Two-Wheel-Drive, Four-Wheel-Drive, Super Stock Diesel 4x4, and Super Semi Trucks; and Mini, Light Unlimited, multi-engine, and Unlimited Modifieds. Qualification for those precious slots coincides with GN competitors’ championship pursuits that commence at Atwood, Tennessee's Clay Hill NTPA Summer Sizzler on June 4-5 and conclude at Sandwich, Illinois’ DeKalb County Fair Grand Nationals on September 9 and 11.
To earn points toward Enderle GN or RN qualifying, a vehicle must be registered at that level at the time of competition. Vehicles may not be licensed at both levels, and before points are assigned, the NTPA system removes from a national class’ finishing order those vehicles that are not same-level-registered.
While it is possible for the same vehicle to earn multiple championships in the same division, a vehicle may earn only one Enderle berth in a given division. If a vehicle satisfies the conditions for two (three, etc.) berths in the same division, the paths to those berths are combined and the second-place (third place, etc.) competitor across the combined paths is awarded an at-large berth. This is in keeping with the late Mr. Enderle’s philosophy of rewarding the competitors who run the hardest.
Competitors and fans alike are encouraged to follow all the action via the Results page at NTPAPULL.com and to live-stream several of the events---including the Enderle itself---at the Association's over-the-top streaming service, NTPA.tv. The NTPA's official website also features a Standings section that will keep up-to-the-minute point tallies and track the races for those precious 102 invitations at the GN and RN Road to the Enderle pages.
